Moab Bike Trails

There are many Moab bicycle trails. Here are a few suggestions: Hymasa climbing, Dome Plateau (Navajo Rocks), and Captain Ahab. These trails are very difficult. These two trails require advanced skills. You will find more difficult trails marked with larger numbers.

Dome Plateau

The Dome Plateau trail is 40 miles east of Moab off Highway 128. Trails Offroad has rated it five stars. The trail is easy and offers beautiful views. The trail should be completed in approximately five to six hours.

Navajo Rocks

The Navajo Rocks bike trails offer spectacular views of the Moab area. The 18-mile long loop includes singletrack and some slickrock. Several trails link together, and there are plenty of technical corners.

Hymasa climb

The Hymasa climb on Moab bike trail is a challenging climb with jaw-dropping views. There is also an alternative descent known as the Captain Ahab Loop. This downhill is technical and has steep switchbacks, large roots, and ledge drops.


Captain Ahab

Captain Ahab's Moab bicycle trail is a great choice if you are looking for a challenging trail to ride. This single-track, 9-miles long, is packed full of technical sections. It also offers jaw-dropping views. Be prepared for changing conditions. Expect to roll rocks and root sections up to 15 inches high (38 cm). Other obstacles, like sharp switchbacks and drops can be very dangerous.

North 40
